Nintendo Switch™ 2 Welcome Tour

Take the welcome tour and discover how this system is much more than meets the eye! Walk around a virtual exhibition shaped like a giant Nintendo Switch™ 2 system and look, touch, and feel your way through the exhibits. Each area is designed to teach you about the technology that went into building the hardware, such as the sensors used for mouse controls and the mechanism that powers the HD rumble 2 feature.

Learn about basic features, like the magnetic connectors that keep the Joy-Con™ 2 controllers firmly attached, and about more advanced tech details that you might not otherwise notice. Uncover hidden facts, enjoy playful minigames and tech demos*, and test your knowledge with quizzes as you explore the exhibit halls!

- Some Minigames and Tech Demos can only be played using a Joy-Con 2 controller.
- A TV that supports 4K is required to play the Minigame "4K Pixel Hunt" and Tech Demo "Super Mario Bros. 4K (1-1)".
- A compatible USB-C camera, such as the Nintendo Switch 2 camera (sold separately), is
required to play the Minigame "Facial Impressions".
- A Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller or Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip (both sold separately) is
required to play the Minigame "Open the GL/GR Locks".
- A TV that supports HDR is required to play the Tech Demo "HDR Fireworks" in TV mode. (The game can be played using the screen on the console in tabletop or handheld modes.)
- A TV that supports 120Hz is required to play the Minigame "Guess the Frame Rate" in TV mode.

- A TV that supports VRR is required to play the Tech Demo "VRR Slider" in TV mode. VRR
support in TV mode was added via a system update released on September 10th, 2026, and also requires a Nintendo Switch 2 dock update. (The game can be played using the screen on the console in handheld or tabletop modes.)
The Nintendo Switch 2 dock can be updated in the System Settings via the System section.
- The Tech Demo "Dual HD Rumble 2" can only be played in handheld mode.
- The Minigame "LCD Pixel Hunt" can only be played in tabletop mode.
- The Minigames "Touch Ten" and "Guess the Angle", along with the Tech Demo "3D Sound", can only be played in tabletop or handheld modes.
- The use of headphones is recommended for the Tech Demo "3D Sound". (It can also be played using the System Speakers.)
- The System Microphone and compatible USB microphones are supported in the Tech Demos "Noise Reduction" and "Echo Generator".
- Controls using the touch screen are only supported in the Minigames "Touch Ten" and "Guess the Angle".
- Surround sound is supported in select scenes.
